The weekly Tahir Elçi commemoration event, organized by Diyarbakır Bar Association, was held in front of Diyarbakır Courthouse. Pointing out that there was no progress in the file of Elçi, Diyarbakır Bar Association Chairman Ahmet Özmen stated, “Exactly 137 weeks have passed after the bullet shot against Tahir Elçi as well as against the peace, brotherhood, desire to live together and justice. However, the perpetrators have unfortunately not been found and handed over to the judiciary. We have expressed, for many times, the deficiencies in the investigation file. We have called the President, the Minister of the Interior, the Minister of Justice for justice. I call out to them once again, from here: Find Tahir Elçi’s murderers and fulfill your responsibility, fulfill your promise.”
